May 23, 2012 by Adrian Hönig in  Baden-Baden Meeting

Validus Re has formally named Kean Driscoll as the replacement for outgoing chief executive Conan Ward, a move which has acted as a catalyst for a series of promotions within the Bermudian reinsurance operation.

Driscoll was formerly executive vice president and chief underwriting officer, and this gap will now be filled by Jeff Clements, previously head of US property and specialty underwriting.

Validus Re’s executive vice president of marine underwriting, Paul Manders, has also taken on responsibility as head of specialty underwriting, while Chris Silvester, currently senior vice president of US property underwriting, has been promoted to executive vice president and head of US property underwriting.
